In 2013, 43 American law students, including 8 from William & Mary, participated in the Madrid Program. These students represented 20 law schools from across the United States. In addition, 7 Spanish law students took part in the program as Fellows, giving American students a Spanish perspective both in class and out. Join us in 2014 for our 27th summer in Spain!
William & Mary was the first law school to establish a summer law study abroad program in 1967. Since then, more than 4,500 future lawyers from law schools across the nation have studied abroad with William & Mary Law School. The alumni of these programs have carried a broadened perspective into the practice of law, business and politics. These experiences and insights of international education are becoming increasingly important with the accelerating globalization of the law and its practice.
