Dates and Deadlines
First-Year J.D. Applicants
September 1: William & Mary Law School begins accepting first-year J.D. applications.
February 1: Credential Assembly Service (CAS) registration deadline. Please note that LSAC recommends that you register with them about six weeks before you plan to apply for law school.
February 15: Suggested filing deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for educational loans and need-based aid.
March 1: Application deadline. Applications received after the deadline will be reviewed, but your chances of being offered admission may be significantly decreased.
April 1: Decisions will be communicated no later than April 1 for first-year applications received by the application deadline. Some students may receive earlier notification as admission decisions are made.
Transfer Applicants
April 1: William & Mary Law begins accepting transfer applications.
July 1: Application deadline and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) filing deadline.
July and August: Decisions will be communicated.
Visiting Students
April 1: William & Mary Law begins accepting visiting student applications.
July 1: Application deadline and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) filing deadline.
July and August: Decisions will be communicated.
LL.M. Applicants
September 1: William & Mary Law begins accepting LL.M. applications.
February 1: Application deadline.
March 15: Most decisions will be communicated by March 15.
