Loans
Financing your education.
There are a number of educational loans available to law students. Stafford Loans, which require the filing of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), are available for up to $20,500 per year. Depending on financial need, up to $8,500 of this amount can be subsidized, with the remainder unsubsidized. Stafford Loans can be obtained from a local bank. Private loans also are available at a variable interest rate. Students can borrow up to the cost of attendance minus any scholarship funds received. William & Mary’s Office of Financial Aid administers the graduate student loan program for the Law School.
