William and Mary Law School

Financing your education.

There are a number of educational loans available to law students. Federal Direct student loans, which require the filing of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA),  are available for amounts up to the total cost of attendance per year. Federal Direct loans for law students include Subsidized, Unsubsidized and Grad PLUS loans. Depending on financial need, up to $8,500 of total loan eligibility can be subsidized, with the remainder unsubsidized. Students can borrow up to the cost of attendance minus any scholarship funds received. Private loans are also available at a variable interest rate. William & Mary's Office of Financial Aid administers the graduate student loan program for the Law School.
