About Janet

Janet graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from St. Olaf College, where she played varsity volleyball and was the student committee chair for the Spanish Department. At William & Mary she is a co-editor of Basic Virginia Law for Non-Lawyers and vice-president of the student organization De Vecino a Vecino. In summer 2012 Janet worked on the Assist Youth Justice Project as a legal clerk at Bay Area Legal Aid in Oakland, California. During summer 2013, Janet worked for the Alliance for Children's Rights in Los Angeles, California. She now works for the Center for Juvenile Justice Reform at Georgetown University.

Her Own Words

"The classes at William & Mary provide a rich learning environment in which I am blessed with the support of amazing classmates and dedicated faulty. Whenever I have a question or need assistance with absolutely anything from academics, to my job search, to personal matters, my fellow classmates and the school faculty are always there to help. Meanwhile, my volunteer work through the school has allowed me to continue to grow professionally. I know that William & Mary is preparing me to become a competent and well-rounded citizen lawyer."
