The VCU - W&M Health Policy and Law Initiative will bring together faculty and students from a variety of disciplines from the two universities to conduct research, provide public service and offer joint degree programs that focus on solving topical problems in health policy, law and bioethics.
The Honor System was first established at William & Mary in 1779 and is one of the most cherished traditions of the Law School. It assumes that principles of honorable conduct are familiar and dear to all students and hence dishonorable acts will not be tolerated. The Honor System is administered by the students with the advice of the faculty and the highest administrative officers of the College, all of whom share a deep interest in the maintenance of high standards of honor. Students found guilty of cheating, stealing or lying are subject to dismissal.
The Human Rights and National Security Law Program was added in 2005 to William and Mary's array of well-respected programs for specialized study. Developed in the shadow of a complex global landscape, the Human Rights and National Security Law Program's core objective is creating citizen lawyers with an appreciation for national security issues through educating and exposing students to the interplay between national defense and the protection of civil rights.
