Many factors -- including the economy and each student's academic record, professional experience, extracurricular accomplishments, community service, geographic and employment interests, interview skills, professional and personal contacts, and individual effort -- will affect the job search. With so many variables, we cannot guarantee a specific job or salary. We do, however, pledge to work hard with students and on their behalf.
William & Mary law students and graduates have diverse career options. Leading legal publications regularly rank law firms, based on size, profitability, and other related factors. These lists include the National Law Journal 250, the Am Law 100, and The Global 100. Firms on these lists actively recruit our students. Our students and alumni are also actively recruited by judges, government agencies, legal services offices, prosecutors, public defenders, legislative bodies and private non-profit entities.

- Self-Directed Job Searches
- On-Campus, Skype, and Videoconference Interviews: Students interview with employers who visit the Law School or who arrange Skype or Videconference interviews.
- Off-Campus Interview Programs: Students have the opportunity to participate in many off-campus interview programs with geographic or practice area focus.
- Resume Forwarding and Job Postings: Employers request that the Office of Career Services forward students' application materials or that students apply individually.
