November 9, 2011- Professor Scott Dodson's essay Rethinking Extraordinary Circumstances, 106 Nw. U. L. Rev. Colloquy 111 (2011), was published by Colloquy.

November 9, 2011- Dean Davison M. Douglas participated in a one-day roundtable discussion on the topic "The Challenges of Writing Biographies of Feminist Legal Icons" at the annual meeting of the American Society for Legal History in Atlanta, Georgia.  Dean Douglas is currently writing a biography of Pauli Murray, a twentieth-century women's rights and civil rights activist.

April 5, 2011 - Professor Laura A. Heymann's article The Grammar of Trademarks, 14 Lewis & Clark L. Rev. 1313 (2010), was selected for inclusion in the 2011 edition of the Intellectual Property Law Review, which recognizes the best law review articles related to intellectual property law published within the last year.   Her article The Trademark/Copyright Divide, 60 SMU L. Rev. 55 (2007), had previously been selected for inclusion in the 2008 edition, and her article How to Write a Life: Some Thoughts on Fixation and the Copyright/Privacy Divide, 51 Wm. & Mary L. Rev. 825 (2009), was selected for inclusion in the 2010 edition of Copyright Annual Anthology as a notable scholarly work on copyright published in 2009.
