January 12, 2011 – Professor Scott Dodson was counsel of record and author of an amicus brief filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of federal jurisdiction professors in O’Connell v. Chapman University.

January 2011 - Dean Davison M. Douglas published the 3d edition of a co-authored constitutional law casebook, Constitutional Law in Context (Carolina Academic Press, 3d ed. 2011) (with Curtis, Parker, Finkelman, and Ross).

L. J. 121 (2006) was republished as a book chapter in Environment and the Public Trust Doctrine (Amicus Books 2010).

November 11, 2009 - In conjunction with the 55th Annual Tax Conference, hosted by the William & Mary Law School, Professor John W. Lee taught a special class entitled "Partnership Taxation 101: An Introduction to Subchapter K" for conference participants.

November 10, 2009 - Professor William W. Van Alstyne discussed Citizens United v. November 8, 2009 - Professor Michael Stein presented a paper at a National Meeting of Grassroots Disability Advocates, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, hosted by Action on Disability and Development, on International Cooperation and Development Schemes under the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

October 29, 2009 - Professor Erin Ryan gave a presentation entitled "Negotiating Federalism" at the Institute of Bill of Rights Law's Scholarly Luncheon Series at the William & Mary Law School in Williamsburg, VA.

October 23, 2009 - Professor Susan Grover gave a talk to the Women's Leadership Program, a group of undergraduates organized by William and Mary's Office of Student Activities, on the topic of Sexual Harassment in Law and Popular Culture.  The students were introduced to the federal laws governing sexual harassment, then viewed excerpts from film and television depicting harassment and discussed whether the scenes viewed would support a legal claim.

October 16-17, 2009 – The 6th Annual Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Conference took place at the William & Mary Law School.  The Conference is chaired by Vice Dean Eric A. Kades and is sponsored by the William & Mary Property Rights Project and the Institute of Bill of Rights Law. The William & Mary Property Rights Project is directed by Professor Lynda L. Butler.

September 8, 2009 - Professor Alan Meese is one of a number of professors who signed an amicus brief in support of the settlement reached in The Author's Guild v. Google.  The proposed settlement would resolve a class-action lawsuit brought by book authors and the Authors Guild, as well as a separate action by numerous publishers, challenging the Google Books venture.

September 8, 2009 - The twentieth annual supplement to Professor Linda Malone's book, Environmental Regulation of Land Use, is published by West.

September 3, 2009 - Professor Scott Dodson is appointed to the Advisory Committee on Rules of Court, a committee of the Judicial Council of Virginia, by Virginia Supreme Court Chief Justice Hassell.

August 31, 2009 - Professor Alan Meese's latest article, "Debunking the Purchaser Welfare Account of Section 2 of the Sherman Act: How Harvard Brought Us a Total Welfare Standard and Why We Should Keep It," will appear in volume 85 of the New York University Law Review in 2010.

August 30, 2009 - The third edition of Professor Linda Malone's casebook, International Law and Litigation in U.S. Courts (with two coauthors), is published by West.

August 28, 2009 - Professor Fredric Lederer gave a presentation entitled "Electronic Discovery and Digital Evidence" for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in Washington, DC.

August 21, 2009 - Professor Linda Malone is awarded the Distinguished Fulbright Chair in International Environmental Law for 2009-2010.  As the Distinguished Fulbright Chair, Malone will research and lecture at the Polytechnic Institute of Turin in Italy from March to June 2010.
