Planned gifts helps insure a bright future for the Law School and may help you reach your financial goals.
Wills and Trusts
Meaningful assistance can be given to the Law School through a bequest made in your will or in a trust agreement. Charitable bequests generally reduce the donor's estate for federal estate tax purposes and are exempt from inheritance taxation in many states. A bequest can be in cash or in the form of a specific asset, and can be made as of the donor's death or upon another defined event, such as the death of an income beneficiary. Office of Alumni Affairs and Development staff members are happy to discuss your wishes and concerns with you and welcome the opportunity to work with you, or your legal or financial advisors.
Please remember to designate the William & Mary Law School Foundation as beneficiary of your gift.
