Welcome to the Law Library!

The library, which opened in the summer of 2007, is a great place for you to study, research, and relax.

The library has more than 57,000 square feet of space, houses more than 400,000 books, and has 568 seats, including 162 at carrels, 186  at tables, and nearly 100 lounge seats.  We have two Reading Rooms, and a Rare Book Room that houses treasures such as the John Marshall family bible, with notations in the Great Chief Justice’s own hand.  We also have 2 computer labs, 12 Group Study Rooms, and 408 lockers.

Of course, it's not all "law."  We have many local, regional and national newspapers and dozens of popular magazines on the main floor;  a huge fiction collection in the top floor Reading Room, and more than 1,000 feature films in our Reserve Collection.  For mental or physical exercise, you'll want to find the two chess tables on the top floor, and the ping pong and pool tables on the ground floor.
