On November 10, the Program in Comparative Legal Studies &
Post-Conflict Justice will host a presentation by Jason Gluck,
Director of the Constitution-Making Program and Director of the Iraq
Rule of Law Program at the United States Institute of Peace, titled
"The Iraq Constitution: Its Drafting Process and Future."
Mr. Gluck provided technical support and advice during the
constitutional drafting and review processes in Iraq. As a member of
the United Nations Assistance Mission to Iraq, he served as Legal
Officer and Constitutional Advisor to the Office of Constitutional
Support and negotiated compromise positions among Iraq's major
political blocs on key constitutional provisions. Free and all are welcome.

On November 17, Louis M. Aucoin will give a presentation on "The
Growth of Public Participation in Post-Conflict Constitution-Building:
Cambodia through Kosovo." Professor Aucoin is Associate Research
Professor at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and previously
served as Program Officer at the United States Institute of Peace,
where his work focused on the role of informal justice systems in
fostering peace in post-conflict societies, and national
reconciliation strategies during post-conflict peace-building efforts.
He served as an advisor to the constitution drafting processes in
Cambodia, Rwanda, East Timor and Kosovo.

Lecture by His Excellency, Jaime Eduardo Aleman Healy, Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to the United States. Jaime Aleman will address the rebuilding of Panama's civilian constitutional government after the fall of Manuel Noriega, former general and military dictator of Panama.
