Wolfs Support Law School Scholarships With Major Gift
A gift from alumnus and former university Rector Henry C. Wolf '64, J.D. '66 and his wife, Dixie Davis Wolf, has established the 1779 Scholars Fund for law student scholarships. 
The first students who will receive scholarships made possible by the fund will be designated as Wolf Scholars. Read more.

Lawyers as Leaders 

Recently, 20 distinguished alumnae from across the nation returned to campus to speak to students and other alums about the role of lawyers as leaders. Read more.

In an August 27 letter to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Senator Mark R. Warner of Virginia urged him to designate the Puller Veterans Benefits Clinic as a Veterans Center for Excellence. Read more.

Professor Thomas McSweeney Explores Magna Carta    

Professor McSweeney explores the historic text in anniversary publications sponsored by the ABA and the Library of Congress. He also will help host an IBRL conference on Magna Carta in spring 2016, the 800th anniversary of the text's first reissue. Read more.
Helena Mock Honored as Tucker Adjunct Professor
Alumna Helena Mock J.D. '00 has been awarded the 2014-15 St. George Tucker Adjunct Professor of Law Award, which recognizes outstanding service. Read more.

Lawyers Helping Lawyers Group Honors Professor Grover 

Professor Susan Grover has been awarded the James R. Treese Award by the Lawyers Helping Lawyers organization for her exemplary dedication to members of the legal community struggling with impairment issues. Read more.
Poole J.D. '16 Honored as 2014 Anderson Scholar
Kristin Poole J.D. '16  was recently honored as one of TowneBank's 2014 Anderson Scholars. The scholarships were first awarded in 2010 to honor Alvin P. Anderson '70, J.D. '72.

New Staff Attorney Joins Puller Clinic 

Aniela K. Szymanski, a former Marine Corps judge advocate, joined us as a visiting professor of practice and staff attorney of the Puller Veterans Benefits Clinic. This new position was made possible through the generosity of the Virginia Law Foundation and the Law School Class of 1984. Read more.

Study in London: Drapers' Scholarship (Deadline, Oct. 15)  

Third-year W&M law students and W&M law alumni who graduated within the last two years are eligible for a scholarship that supports a year of study at Queen Mary College. Application deadline: October 15.  Learn more.
