Marilyn Booker Urges Graduates to Pursue Possibilities of Positive Change

Ms. Booker,  the Managing Director and Head of Morgan Stanley's Urban Markets Group, urged graduates at the Law School's Diploma Ceremony on May 13 to find ways to use the practice of law to help make communities and the nation stronger, better, and more just.

Commencement Weekend offered opportunities to shine a light on the many achievements and contributions of members of the Class of 2018, alumni, faculty and staff.  


According to Rector Todd A. Stottlemyer '85, President Reveley likes events to run like clockwork: no surprises. But the Board of Visitors had a big one for the president at the university's Commencement ceremony on May 12: an honorary degree for his service to the university, including a decade at its helm.

The Law School recognized Professor Jeffrey Bellin with the McGlothlin Award for Exceptional Teaching, a prize made possible through the generosity of James W. McGlothlin '62, J.D. '64, LL.D. '00 and Frances Gibson McGlothlin '66, L.H.D.'18.

Summer Classes Taught by CLCT Faculty for High School and College Students

Professors Fred Lederer and Iria Giuffrida of the Center for Legal and Court Technology teach a wide variety of short (one to four half-day) summer law courses ranging from Introduction to Law and the U.S. Legal System to Introduction to International Law and Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and the Law.
