That's good news: Our students and grads met with success securing federal and state clerkships

A recent roundup compiled by the Office of Career Services illustrates our graduates' success in securing judicial clerkships. Since 2016, William & Mary Law students and graduates have obtained approximately 200 federal and state clerkships in 29 states, D.C. and Puerto Rico.

Our place in history: The Wolf Law Library exhibit tells our story
 
A permanent exhibit in The Wolf Law Library now showcases the Law School's history back to its founding in 1779. The efforts of an amazing team of law librarians and a generous donation from the Class of 1988 made the project (and its digital version) possible. Join us at the dedication celebration on April 12 during Law Alumni Weekend!
Inclusion Task Force Update

Dean Douglas appointed a Task Force to facilitate our continued work to ensure that every member of our diverse community feels fully welcomed, respected and valued. The Task Force will post updates after each of its monthly meetings. 
 
A lot on his plate: Research and teaching with Professor Jim Dwyer

Among his many endeavors as a teacher and scholar, Professor Dwyer has new books on child welfare policy and homeschooling. He is also at work on a monograph on children's migration rights under international law and is serving as the editor of the Oxford Handbook of Children and the Law, a massive reference work that will be published this fall.

The Appellate and Supreme Court Clinic submitted a brief to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit on behalf of Christopher Cantu, the representative of Robert Lawrence, who was shot and killed by a police officer in Dothan, Alabama.

 
The Virginia Coastal Policy Center developed two case studies that accompany a recent report on potential solutions to legal barriers impacting expansion of U.S. shellfish aquaculture.

Law School launches International Summer School

This summer the Law School will welcome international students from around the world for a program about global legal practice. Classes begin July 15 and there are two and three week options.
 
Scholarship opportunities to study in China

One of the Law School's partners in Beijing, the China University of Politics and Law, is offering scholarships for Master and Doctoral Degree programs (all taught in English). The scholarships are sponsored by the China Scholarship Council and students must start their program in September 2019. To be nominated for a scholarship, please email Assistant Dean Jen Stevenson at jsstevenson@wm.edu by April 15, 2019. Graduates of the Class of 2018 and earlier are eligible for nomination.
