This summer I will be an intern for International Bridges to Justice, in Geneva, Switzerland. The main goals of the organization are to ensure basic human rights for all citizens and protect the basic legal rights for citizens in developing countries, mainly by providing competent legal representation, ensuring the right to be protected from cruel and unusual punishment, and the right to a fair trial. IBJ works in Burundi, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, and India, with headquarters in Geneva. I will be helping with program management, fundraising, and the development of the Legal Training Resource Center, a platform that offers free resources and courses on criminal defense training available anytime, anywhere via the Internet.
