Final Week
It's my last few week here at IBJ. It will be sad to leave Geneva, but I'm looking forward to another year of law school and am excited about the classes I'll be taking.
In the meantime I've been wrapping up my projects here, in addition to getting some new things started. Our director has asked me to write a draft for our application to the Buckminster Fuller Competition, which is an "annual international design challenge awarding $100,000 to support the development and implementation of a strategy that has significant potential to solve humanity's most pressing problems." I'm excited to get some initial ideas down. Most of the previous winners have been technology/science focused, but I think we can make a strong argument that IBJ's model fits their criteria. It is interesting making this case.
I'm also putting some final touches onto the text of the Annual Report. An accomplished graphic designer has recently volunteered some time to help us with this, which should ensure that we put out a quality product.
I will miss life in Geneva, and hope to return here someday for a longer period. It's a great place to live. I also hope to continue supporting IBJ in its inspiring misson to help advance the rule of law.
