4th of July
This blog has been a little light on the pictures. Everyone likes a post better when it has pictures, but really most of the what I do at work is not that photo-friendly. Pictures of me sitting at my desk reading, or on the phone? Not exciting.
But fireworks? In the capital? On the 4th of July? Now that's exciting. And not just the National Mall fireworks that anyone can see pictures of. Nope, these are pictures of amateur fireworks over Robert F. Kennedy Park in southeast D.C. Enjoy.
Groups of kids were setting these off all along the edge of the park. It was really beautiful to watch, but I was sort of worried for their safety.
They also gave off a lot of smoke.
Happy birthday America!
