Matthew Fine
American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (Baku, Azerbaijan)
Background
Matt is a 2009 graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder with a double major in political science and philosophy with an emphasis in applied ethics. While in school, Matt spent his junior year studying abroad at the University of Ghana in Legon, Ghana and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. While studying in Legon, Matt worked at the Legal Resource Center Accra. After graduating, Matt spent six weeks traveling through India, Nepal, and Tibet.
From August 2009 to August 2011, Matt worked as a project manager at the United States Equestrian Federation, the National Governing Body of equestrian sports. Matt currently serves on the Board of Governors for the United States Eventing Association.
Since 1999, the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative in Baku, Azerbaijan has worked to promote legal reform by supporting and strengthening quality legal education, providing training and resources for members of the judiciary, and increasing public awareness about legal rights in order to increase transparency and accountability.
