My Backyard
Although, my camera stopped working early into my trip I was able to get some pictures of the area in which I lived. My host family lived in Kijkduin, which a small beach area in the Hague. The body of water that borders The Hague is the North Sea. This area of the Netherlands is incredibly beautiful. The entire country is unbelievably flat, except for the coastal areas. The hills around the coast are all artificial; they are made from debris and construction particles. The purpose of these hills is to keep the water from flooding the country. The hills are used as biking and running path, which was amazing exercise. This was essentially my backyard.
