The End
Last night was my last night in Geneva. It was a Geneva national holiday, so there was a massive fireworks display by the lake. All of my Geneva friends and I gathered to watch the show. It was a perfect end to a perfect summer.
At 4AM, I went home to gather my suitcases and took a cab to the airport. In a weird symbolic way, the cab ride was a journey through my summer. We started at my apartment, crossed the lake, passed the train station across from the IBJ office, zoomed past the United Nations headquarters, and arrived in the Geneva airport where just three months ago I arrived with high expectations.
I still don't fully realize that my time in Geneva is over. I know that once I head back to school in Williamsburg, I'm going to daydream about my walks along Lake Geneva. I miss it already.
