East West Management Institute (Phnom Penh, Cambodia)

About

Elizabeth Buner graduated from Smith College in 2005 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. After graduation, she spent a number of years working in Boston and New York, most recently as a paralegal for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York, in their Terrorism and International Narcotics Unit.

Liz is excited to spend her summer working with the East-West Management Institute’s Program on Rights and Justice in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. EWMI focuses on human rights advocacy and rule of law promotion, with projects designed to promote access to justice, improve the professional standards of the future Cambodian legal community, and strengthen grassroots advocacy and community networks. Liz has always wanted to visit Cambodia and looks forward to working in and exploring the country, while pursuing her interest in international human rights.
