About
Kaylee Gum is originally from Wichita, Kansas, but as a military brat moved to a number of different states and countries including Texas, Germany, and Italy. She attended The University of Oklahoma for undergrad and double majored in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies. She also completed the Air Force ROTC program at OU and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in May of 2013. Kaylee will serve as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force JAG Corps.
This summer, Kaylee will be working with Tetra Tech DPK, Access to Justice Program in Baghdad, Iraq. The Access to Justice Program is funded by USAID and has three program areas. First, the program is tasked with public awareness campaigns to inform vulnerable Iraqis of their rights. Second, the program will work to connect Iraqis with government institutions responsible for upholding their rights. Finally, the program will promote a legal framework that ensures the rights of the disadvantaged are protected by the Government of Iraq.
