Anne Wallice

About

Anne Wallice grew up in Greenville, South Carolina and attended the Honors College at the College of Charleston, graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish. While at the College of Charleston, Anne participated in a variety of activities, such as interning with the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., studying abroad in Alicante, Spain, and working part time at a local law firm. 

Anne Wallice will be working with the Supporting Access to Justice, Fostering Equity and Peace (SAFE) Program in Kampala, Uganda. The SAFE Program, funded by USAID, seeks to strengthen formal and informal land dispute resolution systems; improve paralegal services; and prevent or transform emerging conflict affecting communities throughout Uganda. By strengthening mechanisms for resolution of conflicts over land, oil, and ethnic diversity, SAFE aims to support peace building and conflict mitigation. The SAFE Program team provides technical assistance, training, mentoring, and grant-making to host-country counterparts and sub-grantee organizations in an effort to achieve its goals.
