Ashley Johnson

About
Ashley graduated from Cornell University in 2009 with a degree in Government and a minor in International Relations. Before law school, she spent several years running a small business and is now a member of the class of 2016, pursuing both a law degree and a Master’s in Public Policy. Her focus is on international law and policy in developing countries. Ashley is on the staff of the William and Mary Bill of Rights Journal, serves as the law school representative to the Graduate Council, and is president of William and Mary Law Revue. 
Ashley has worked for anti-human trafficking organizations, and in the summer of 2014, interned with the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) in The Hague. This summer, she will be working for the Ba Distrito Project in East Timor. The USAID program works toward enhancing decentralized governance in Timorese communities, strengthening legal aid systems, and increasing judicial system effectiveness
