Eric Taber

About

Eric is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno where he received dual degrees in Business, Accounting and English, Writing. Following his undergraduate studies, Eric spent three years working for a small defense contracting firm specializing in persistent surveillance systems for border security and village stability operations. As part of the business development team, he periodically traveled to Egypt, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates to work with local partners on their security challenges. Inspired by the courage of local leaders, Eric decided to return to school in order to pursue a career in post-conflict peacebuilding.

This summer, Eric is joining the East West Management Institute’s Tbilisi, Georgia office to participate in the “Advancing Civil Society Organizations Capacities and Engaging Society for Sustainability” (ACCESS) program. Funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the ACCESS program works to enable Georgian non-profit organizations to improve their financial sustainability, organizational management, policy influence, and civic engagement. The goal is to empower civil society organizations to become respected community representatives capable of leading public debate and collaborating with government to create more transparent and accountable governance.
