Dorronda Bordley
About
Dorronda was born and raised in Felton, Delaware. In 2014, she graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Sociology and double minors in Linguistics and Chinese. Prior to law school, Dorronda spent a year in Taiwan as a Fulbright ETA, then went on to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA for a non-profit Legal Services agency.
For her 1L summer, Dorronda will be working in Beijing, China at the Beijing Children’s Legal Aid and Research Center (BCLARC). BCLARC is a subsidiary of the Zhicheng Public Interest Lawyers group, one of the few legal NGOs in China. BCLARC specializes in the protection of children’s rights and provides free legal assistance to those who lack the financial means. As an intern, Dorronda’s duties include legal research for cases and projects on legal reform, translating, organizing lectures and workshops, and assisting in the annual International Student Forum on Public Interest law in Beijing.
