Hailey Guerra
About
Hailey Guerra was born and raised by a large, Cuban family in Miami, FL. She attended the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL, and obtained degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice with a minor in French. Hailey worked at several law firms throughout her undergraduate education and served within UNF's Student Government as Student Body President and a member of the University's Board of Trustees. Determined to attend William & Mary, Hailey moved to Williamsburg. When not studying for the LSAT, Hailey worked as a Domestic Violence Pretrial Officer where she supervised defendants charged with intimate partner violence crimes. Hailey is an active member of her Alpha Chi Omega alumnae chapter and lives in Williamsburg with her loving boyfriend and their dog, Archer.
Hailey will be spending this summer exploring her passions in International and Criminal Law with Winrock International's Hamro Samman Partnerships to Combat Human Trafficking. Specifically, the project serves to empower local organizations in Kathmandu to address trafficking-in-persons in the region through prevention, protection, prosecution, and partnerships. As a legal intern, Hailey looks forward to learning more about Nepalese legal systems, especially after the ratification of Nepal's Constitution in 2015 and the nation's first democratic elections under said Constitution.
