Kate Hall
About
Kate Hall is originally from Waynesboro, Virginia. She graduated from James Madison University in 2013 with a B.S., majoring in Psychology with a minor in Biology. As an undergrad, she worked as a research assistant in the Sleep and Actigraphy lab. Kate initially planned to take a year off after graduation and then attend graduate school for Behavioral Neuroscience, but she later realized that she wanted her career to have a more direct impact on peoples’ lives. Now, she plans to earn a concentration in international law at William & Mary and one day work in the international field helping communities in need.
Kate will spend her summer working for Zhicheng Public Interest Lawyers, whose organizations provide legal assistance and representation to various marginalized groups who cannot afford to pay for legal services on their own. Beijing Children’s Legal Aid and Research Center is one organization that specializes in children’s rights. Zhicheng’s legal aid services also extend to migrant workers’ rights protection, criminal legal aid, women’s rights protection and more.
