Reeana Keenen

About
Reeana Keenen was born and raised in Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin for undergrad and earned a B.S. in Public Relations. From there, Reeana went on to work at an immigration law firm in Dallas and decided to apply for law school, with a goal of working in comparative law or post-conflict reconstruction. Last summer, Reeana worked for International Bridges to Justice in Geneva, Switzerland, where she helped create a training manual for defense attorneys in Myanmar by researching Burmese law.
Reeana will spend this summer working for the U.S. Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C., on its Justice & Securities Dialogue project. USIP helps countries develop sustainable peace and transition programs by promoting the rule of law and working closely with local communities to foster grassroots solutions. The Justice & Securities Dialogue project focuses on analysis of security sector institutions in the Sahel and Maghreb regions of Africa, and brings together security sector leaders and community members to restore trust and identify areas where reform is necessary.
