Week 8: Beginning the Wrap-Up

With my time at IBJ winding down, my days have been almost entirely overtaken by the remaining compliance work. This week, I worked with my supervising attorney to finalize the risk management plan I had been writing all summer.

It is nice to cross such a big item off of my ever-shrinking to-do list. When the summer began, I didn't think this compliance project could possibly be completed in my ten weeks here. But with the help of some fantastic volunteers, interns, and staff, I know I can finish all of the work before leaving.

My week was rather short: it began with a hiking trip to Kandersteg in eastern Switzerland and ended with a short trip to Verona, Italy. The two trips were very different, but both incredibly beautiful. I know 14-year-old Jamie would be happy that I finally made the trip to Verona to see the setting for the story that started my love of literature.
