Week 7
This week I did the major leg work to prepare to turn in topic #5 of the food insecurity project. As a refresher, I was tasked with completing a comparative paper looking at the strengths and weaknesses of the various schemes and then writing a short note on what I think the best practice is. This is basically i.e. what I think the best approach in South Africa would be. I was told my recommendation could involve mixing elements of 2-3 or even four schemes. The supplements I was given included case studies on more than 10 countries on the topic of food sovereignty.
I have been breaking up the readings to tackle this project day by day. I'll try to attach the comparative paper to my next blog if that is something that is allowed.
