Week 1 at the ACC
After finishing my first week with the American Chemistry Council, I already feel more informed on and excited about how lawyers fit into the world of international policy. About thirty minutes after starting, I sat in on a meeting with the trade association's regulatory team where the implications of an EPA ban were discussed. This set the stage for my first big research project. Gathering information for this project has been a lengthy task and next week I will work to synthesize my findings. To celebrate memorial day, the American Chemistry Council hosted an ice cream social for employees on Thursday. This was a great way to meet some other interns and full time employees while enjoying a sweet treat. The social was held on the rooftop of the building which offers views of the CNN building, Capitol Hill, and the Washington Monument. I am loving the diversity of work so far and am excited to keep learning.
