Week 5 began with car troubles and making up for time lost due to my illness, but I am finally feeling back in the swing of things now. My big project for this week was to determine if ACC could use a copyrighted image as a logo for an environmental group. This task required me to familiarize myself with copyright law, the trademark database, and the world of fan art. On Wednesday, I attended a meeting at the Department of Transportation alongside two members of the Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Team at ACC. The meeting was on “Preparations for the 44th Session of the UN Sub-Committee of Experts on the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals.” During this event, the contents of working documents from all over the world were summarized and individuals were given the opportunity to express concerns on the papers.
