Week Three: A Continuation
Last week was more of a continuation of the previous week, with me doing more or less the same research and writing I was already doing. If I had to guess, in this field, last week would be a lot like the kinds of weeks I would be doing, where I’d spend my days researching and writing and nothing else. I don’t mind it though, but after the first few hectic weeks it almost feels odd for things to have slowed down this much.
Most of my work had me juggling between three different projects. So far, I've been writing a paper similar to the papers we right at work, creating a presentation, and creating a set of forms to send out to other people. These are all different projects with no overlap between them in topic or world region focused on, so I've been pretty busy juggling between the three. Two of the projects I was focused on the most (or at least had the earliest deadlines) required further research into topics I had little prior knowledge of. The past week certainly tested how quickly I could find sources on items that were not well organized in one place, or did not have the search terms I was using, or were not written in English, while teaching myself about an area of law I did not know much about.
I'm mostly excited for this week, because I'll be able to sit in on the event I created the presentation for. Hopefully, I'll also be able to listen to some of the other speakers at the event as well and learn from them. I'm certainly looking forward to it.
