Hannah v. Bd. of Supervisors

Supreme Court of Virginia
140 Va. 698, 125 S.E. 679

Road and bridge across Appomattox River were built on landowner’s property without him receiving compensation through petition, which had been dismissed by trial court. Landowner blocked bridge access. County obtained permanent injunction. On appeal, Supreme Court modified injunction to give County an opportunity to bring action to award landowner the just compensation he was due. Case was remanded.
