Summer 2023 Employment
I spent my summer interning at the Newport News Commonwealth Attorney's Office in Virginia. I aided attorneys for court cases by assisting with research and drafting various motions. Most importantly, I had the opportunity to observe many hearings and trials. I also worked part-time as a research assistant for Professor Paul Marcus, Haynes Professor of Law (Emeritus) at W&M Law School. I assisted with research to update Professor Marcus's book, "The Prosecution and Defense of Criminal Conspiracy Cases."

Why W&M Law?
As the daughter of two immigrant parents from Poland, I grew up always accompanying my parents to their doctors appointments, meetings, and every day events in order to translate for them. My mom always called me her "little advocate" as I would always be their voice for them when they needed their voice amplified. I have always been interested in the law and knew that the legal profession was a perfect fit for me since I want to continue being a voice for others who may need it. As soon as I walked onto the W&M campus, I felt a connection to its mission to train citizen lawyers who will use their legal knowledge to make the world around us better. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and friendly rather than competitive and tense like many law schools. Everyone, from students to staff to professors, are always eager to help whether it is law school related or not. W&M Law School is a family and is a one of a kind place.

How would others describe me?
