I interned for the City of Jacksonville's Office of General Counsel, which provides legal services to every facet of the consolidated city and county government. Working alongside nearly fifty attorneys, I was able to gain experience in a wide variety of practice areas that intersect with local government, including personal injury, constitutional law, zoning, inverse condemnation, and more.
Why W&M Law?
I am passionate about how municipal law can have such a substantial impact on people's everyday lives. I hope to use my law degree to play a role in shaping better cities. I chose William & Mary for its outstanding speciality in land use and property law. In addition to an annual conference on property rights, William & Mary offers courses in land use and eminent domain taught by experts. More importantly, William & Mary's commitment to shaping "citizen lawyers" means that students are not simply focused on what we do as lawyers but also who we are as lawyers. That community-centered philosophy is unique and consistent with my own personal values.
How would others describe me?
