William & Mary's Office of Financial Aid administers the graduate student loan program for the Law School, and may be contacted at [[aid]].
There are a number of educational loans available to law students to supplement any scholarship that a student may receive. The Department of Education now uses this site as a “one stop shop” for FAFSA and all matters related to the financial aid process, loans, repayment, etc.
Federal Direct student loans for graduate students are unsubsidized at a fixed interest rate of 6.54% disbursed on or after July 1, 2022. You may be eligible to borrow up to $20,500 in the unsubsidized loan depending on the total cost of attendance.
Federal Direct Grad PLUS loans are specifically designed to help bridge the gap between financial aid awarded and the cost of attendance. These loans have a fixed interest rate of 7.54% disbursed on or after July 1, 2022 and can be consolidated with any Direct Unsubsidized loans upon graduation.
Private loans are also available at a variable interest rate.
