Class of 2029

A new school year means welcoming new students, and on August 13 the William & Mary Law community welcomed the J.D. Class of 2029 to campus.

The 176 members of the class hail from 32 states, the District of Columbia, and China.

The Law School received 3,178 applications for admission. The acceptance rate was 14.8%.

The class had a median LSAT of 167 (75th/25th: 168/163) and median GPA of 3.81 (75th/25th: 3.91/3.49).

Ninety-three percent of class members received scholarship support.

Seventy-six percent of the class is from out of state. 

Seventy percent of class members have post-graduate work experience or graduate degrees.

The average age of class members is 24 (and their ages range from 21 to 34).

Nine class members are active-duty service members or veterans (including two FLEPs). They represent the Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, and Navy.

The Class of 2029 attended 108 different undergraduate institutions, 13 in Virginia and 95 in other locations.
