Message from Dean Douglas
Dear Members of the William & Mary Law School Community:
As you will read in this edition of the E-News, we have had much to celebrate at Marshall-Wythe in the new year. Paul Marcus received one of the Commonwealth of Virginia's prestigious Outstanding Faculty Awards. The William & Mary Law School Trial Team has captured two major championships in recent competitions.
In my recent travels, I had an opportunity to meet a number of our Florida and Texas alumni. I always return from these trips greatly encouraged by our alumni's interest in and support for our endeavors.
Graduates often ask me what they can do to help our students in this difficult job market. The Office of Career Services would welcome hearing from you by email if your law firm or organization has summer or post-graduate job opportunities, or if you know of opportunities elsewhere. You also can use one of the forms on the Employer Services page to provide us with information on available positions.
Please mark your calendars for Alumni Weekend on April 16 & 17. Our reunion classes have been hard at work planning a barbecue, class get-togethers, and other activities. We've had an unusually snowy winter here in Williamsburg, but we're confident that April will bring warm days and sunshine!
Sincerely yours,
Davison M. Douglas
