Josh Sacks ’95 and Jeanne LoCascio Sacks ‘95 make substantial gift to honor and recognize competition teams

In honor of their 30th law school reunion, Josh and Jeanne L. Sacks, both graduates from the Class of 1995, have given a sizeable donation to William & Mary Law School.  Their gift will be used to transform the North Wing Hallway into a vibrant showcase of competitive excellence that will bear their names.Jeanne L. & Josh Sacks ’95

Josh and Jeanne met at William & Mary Law School and the impetus for the generous donation arose from their personal connection to the Law School and its competition teams.  Both participated in Moot Court—Jeanne on the International Team and Josh on the National Team. During the 1994-95 season, the National Team advanced to the final round of the national tournament, where Josh and his teammates took home awards for the best brief in the competition, and their team placed second (2nd) overall against 223 teams from 149 law schools.

Their experience at William & Mary had a profound influence on Josh and Jeanne, and their involvement with Moot Court has served both well professionally.

Both Josh and Jeanne have spent most of their 30+ year careers in the courtroom. Josh works as a trial attorney based out of the Atlanta, Georgia area. After a six-year stint with a nationally renowned plaintiff’s firm, he founded his own practice in 2001 where he continues to represent injured individuals and families who have lost loved ones.

Jeanne’s practice has focused on family law: she has litigated cases involving complex international custody and asset division issues, adoption and substantial-asset divorces. She still practices part time with a long-time colleague in the North Georgia area.

This latest donation is one of several given by Josh and Jeanne over the years.  To celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary, Josh and Jeanne gave a significant gift to support the William & Mary trial teams. In recognition, the second-floor Moot Court Office continues to bear their names. This latest gift of support builds on that legacy by providing a space to highlight the many successes of the Law School’s five competition teams—Alternative Dispute Resolution, Moot Court, National Trial, International Competition and Transactional Law—and other significant achievements by both students and alumni.

On November 13, 2026, the Law School will host a ceremony to dedicate the hallway and trophy cases and recognize Josh and Jeanne’s support of the school.
