Four Faculty Appointed to Named Professorships

Students Receive Federal Grant for Tidewater Roots Poll Project
Thanks to a grant from the Election Assistance Commission, members of the Election Law Society will recruit and train college students in the Tidewater region to serve as poll workers this fall. Click here for story.

Civil Legal Assistance Attorney Student Loan Repayment Program  (CLAAP)
Equal Justice Works has published a website providing information on this new  Department of Education loan repayment assistance program which will award funds on a first-come, first-served basis. According to EJW the new program  "will repay a portion of eligible federal student loan debt for civil legal assistance attorneys who are employed full-time." Applications are due Aug. 16, 2010.
