Law School Awards 104 Summer Public Service Fellowships
William & Mary Law School has awarded 104 summer public service fellowships, totaling$282,231 to students working for 67 non-profit organizations and government agencies in 17 states, the District of Columbia and in 7 other countries, including Argentina, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, India, Russia, Spain, and Switzerland.
Support for the fellowship program comes the from the student body's Public Service Fund, law alumni, the College and the Law School, endowments, and law firms that interview on campus. The Virginia Law Foundation, the Virginia State Bar's Criminal Law Section, and William & Mary's Christopher Wren Association also provide grant support.
Rob Kaplan, Associate Dean for Career Services and Public Service Initiatives, said, "All of us at the Law School can be proud of our students and the good work they will perform this summer. The Marshall-Wythe community's collective support makes a meaningful difference to the public service fabric of the Law School, the lives of our students, and the organizations and clients they serve."
