Sean J. Radomski J.D. '14 received the George Wythe Award at the Law School's Diploma Ceremony on May 11. The award is named in honor of George Wythe -- William & Mary's and the nation's first professor of law -- and is given each year by the Law School to a graduating student in recognition of selfless service.

Radomski was active in the Student Bar Association (SBA) throughout law school and served as President of the organization as a third-year student.  Dean Davison M. Douglas presented the award and said that Radomski was recognized as a "particularly effective leader, serving as a partner with the Administration to improve the operation of the school."   In addition, Douglas said, Radomski was active on the Moot Court Team and served as Symposium Editor of the William & Mary Law Review. In that role, he said, Radomski helped coordinate one of the most successful symposia in recent years, the 2014 symposium on "The Contemporary First Amendment."

During the Class of 2014 Awards Ceremony, held on the eve of graduation, he received numerous recognitions, including induction into Order of the Coif (membership in which is the highest academic honor a law student can achieve), the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in Health Law, an ALI-ABA Scholarship and Leadership Award, a Legal Practice Scholar Award, and a Dean's Certificate (given to select graduates in recognition of outstanding efforts on behalf of the Law School community).

Radomski was one of four students tied for first in his law school class and will clerk for the Honorable Michael Hogan, a state court judge in New Jersey after graduation. He received his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Fordham University, where he was active throughout in student government and served as Senior Class President.
