William & Mary Law School Honored for Outstanding Commitment to Veterans
One month after being designated a 2017 Military Friendly® School, William & Mary Law School has been ranked a Top 10 Graduate School for outstanding commitment and programs for veterans and their families.
Both designations are awarded by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs®, STEM JobsSM, and Military Spouse.
“William & Mary Law School has a high number of students who both serve in the military and serve veterans through our Veterans Benefits Clinic,” said Patricia Roberts, Clinical Professor of Law and Director of Clinical Programs and of the Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Veterans Benefits Clinic. “It’s an honor to be recognized as a military friendly school, and a wonderful validation of the outstanding work that our staff and students perform each day on behalf of the veterans in our community.”
According to Daniel Nichols, a Navy Reserve veteran and Chief Product Officer at Victory Media, “All of our Military Friendly® award recipients set the standard for excellence. They offer exceptional examples of what it means not just to build a program that meets federal requirements, but one that serves the military and veteran community from classrooms to careers.”
William & Mary Law School is the only law school in Virginia to receive a 2017 Military Friendly® School designation. The College of William & Mary was also named to the list, and has been designated Military Friendly® several times in the past.
Companies and schools must have successfully completed a 2017 Military Friendly® survey and been designated as a 2017 Military Friendly® School or Employer to be considered for the Awards program. The names of awardees are published online at https://militaryfriendly.com and will be printed in the December issue of G.I. Jobs® or Guide to Military Friendly® Schools.
