William & Mary Law School Ranked Sixth Among Top 10 Military Friendly® Graduate Schools
William & Mary Law School has been ranked sixth among Top 10 Military Friendly® graduate schools in the February 2017 issue of Victory Media’s G.I. Jobs® and Guide to Military Friendly® Schools.
“William & Mary Law School has a high number of students who both serve in the military and serve veterans through our Veterans Benefits Clinic,” said Patricia Roberts, Clinical Professor of Law and Director of Clinical Programs and of the Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Veterans Benefits Clinic. “It’s an honor to be recognized as a military friendly school, and a wonderful validation of the outstanding work that our staff and students perform each day on behalf of the veterans in our community.”
According to Victory Media, “This year, we went beyond determining whether a school is Military Friendly®. Now we rate how Military Friendly® a school is.”
The magazine calculated “the best of the best” across 10 different scoring categories, resulting in its first Top 10 schools among community colleges, graduate schools, non-traditional institutions, and other institutions.
The 2017 Military Friendly® standard provides members of the military community with the latest, most comprehensive information possible as they decide how to use their veteran education benefits.
In December 2016, one month after being designated a 2017 Military Friendly® School, William & Mary Law School was ranked a Top 10 Graduate School for outstanding commitment and programs for veterans and their families.
William & Mary Law School is the only law school in Virginia to receive a 2017 Military Friendly® School designation. The College of William & Mary was also named to the list, and has been designated Military Friendly® several times in the past.
Companies and schools must have successfully completed a 2017 Military Friendly® survey and been designated as a 2017 Military Friendly® School or Employer to be considered for the Awards program. The names of awardees are published online at https://militaryfriendly.com and were printed in the February issue of G.I. Jobs® and Guide to Military Friendly® Schools.
