Celebrating the Class of 2022
Festivities for the Class of 2022 began on the afternoon of Thursday, May 19 with a barbecue lunch for graduates, faculty, and staff on the Law School's front lawn. Saturday, May 21 saw W&M Law’s J.D. and LL.M. Class of 2022 assemble at the historic Wren Building for a march across campus—past the Sunken Garden, across scenic Crim Dell and through the Wildflower Preserve—to Kaplan Arena for Commencement ceremonies with W&M’s other graduate schools. Graduates heard from W&M Chancellor Robert M. Gates ’65, L.H.D. ’98; Stephanie Dang Murphy ’00, the first Vietnamese-American woman to have been elected to Congress; and Augustine Manga J.D. ’22. Then it was back to the Law School where graduates and their families gathered for refreshments, photos, diplomas and awards. Congratulations to the Class of 2022! Here are scenes from that special time.
