Richie Mullaney ’25 Receives George Wythe Award at Law School Commencement

Richie Mullaney ’25 received the George Wythe Award during William & Mary Law School’s commencement ceremony at Kaplan Arena on Saturday, May 17.Mullaney received the George Wythe Award from Dean Spencer during Commencement.

The honor is given each year by the Law School in recognition of outstanding service by a member of the graduating class.

Mullaney graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in government and American Studies, and a Master of Professional Studies, Urban & Regional Planning, and since then has served as a Notes Editor for the William & Mary Law Review. He has also served on the National Trial Team and Legal History Society and was a Dean’s Associate and Student Admissions Ambassador.

He has interned in the Office of General Counsel of the City of Jacksonville, Florida, and as a summer associate at Rogers Towers in Jacksonville. Most recently he took home the Community Spirit Award in memory of Betta Labanish, William & Mary Law School’s longtime administrative assistant who passed away in January 2024.

Mullaney will be joining Driver, McAffee, Hawthorne & Diebenow in Jacksonville as an associate after graduation.
