Isabelle Rustom ’26 Receives Thurgood Marshall Award at Law School Commencement

Isabelle Rustom ’26 was honored with the Thurgood Marshall Award during William & Mary Law School’s commencement ceremony at Kaplan Arena on Saturday, May 16.Rustom received the Thurgood Marshall Award from Vice Dean Kami Chavis during Commencement.

The award is given each year to a member of the graduating class who exhibits the ideals of distinguished public service exemplified by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall (1908-1993).

Rustom graduated from George Mason University’s Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution with a B.A. in conflict analysis and resolution, and a master’s degree in international security from George Mason’s Schar School of Policy and Government.

She served as a staff member for volume 66 of the William & Mary Law Review, co-chair of the Public Service Fund, a judicial intern to the Honorable Jamar K. Walker, U.S. District Courts in Norfolk, and as legal intern for BOSS Controls.
