The Lawrence W. I'Anson Award
The Lawrence W. I'Anson Award is presented to a member of each graduating class who in the judgment of the Law School faculty has shown evidence of great promise through scholarship, character and leadership. The award honors Lawrence W. I'Anson of Portsmouth, Virginia, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia and former President of the Board of Directors of the National Center for State Courts.
